a little update
so, i made the 20 lb mark and then some! i’ve still got a few stones to drop (i prefer stones over pounds, sounds much better), but now i know i’ll get there. i’m back in my old 4/6s and will scootch into high school 0s and 2s soon. OR ELSE.

right… so, the thing about WW is that they have their own website for you to track activity and points consumed. so, i kinda have been using it instead of this. and guess what? it’s waaaaaay more effective. i’m down 7 pounds and one pants size for sure, almost another one probably next week. woooooooooo!

ultimate sadness. thought i was being healthy by eating rice, black beans, grilled veggies and tomatoes. NOT SO! i’ve done used all my flex points up in one go. GREAT!! so, i’ll say 15 points. DAMN!
10/2 b-fast
rolled into work at 11 this morning. awesome. was supposed to have day off, so 11 was a good compromise.
ate one whole egg, plus two egg whites scrambled = 2.5
non-fat latte from starbucks = they say 3 points, i find this hard to believe. what’s fat in it? coffee is water… and non-fat milk has no fat and few calories. hmm.

lunch 10/1 - chargrilled chicken sandwich and fries from chick-fil-a = 13 points (holy fuck!)
predinner 15 minutes walk (to dinner)
dinner was whole wheat pasta w/mushroom, artichoke hearts, lemon garlic olive oil, cheese bread w/marinara = 1,000,000 points. i used the ww tracker and estimated 12. bad day.
post dinner walk 30 minutes (around OU campus and home)

Like I said, it’s been a rough couple of months. I had one of those headaches that threatens both vomit and blindness by about 3 this afternoon. Don’t know if it’s the stress or lack of caffeine (still DC free!), but it was brutal. Is brutal. So, I did 35 on the treadmill, only 5 running.

today was pretty demoralizing. i ended up eating out for luch and dinner due to work and then my little bro’s b-day. no alcohol was consumed. no snacks were had. also, no physical activity.
the reality is i’m not being strict enough with my expectations about diet. i allow myself too many pleasures and they end up not being pleasurable at all. even a little bit. i need to slow...

is that even legal? probably not. it’s frozen nevertheless. we then defrosted some shrimp that had been hiding out for quite some time. shrimp sauteed with evoo, s&p, lemon juice, parsley and red pepper flakes, served over couscous flavored the same. (except i toasted the couscous in a wee pat of butter with the garlic before adding the stock.) and then i ate too much. one forgets...

it’s true. i went. for a whole hour! i figured out the interval setting on the treadmill and did walk 2 minutes, run 2 minutes for an hour. i can do that! i’m going to do it everytime until i can either increase my speed or increase my intervals. woooo!
